For the most part, you don’t go to Cartagena, Colombia — a city established by the Spanish nearly five centuries ago, with thousands of years of native history before that — to see minimalist architecture and futuristic design. Rather, you come to the historic center of this stunning old city to luxuriate in the atmosphere of the colonial era, an atmosphere that’s in plentiful supply at the Hotel Casa La Factoría by Faranda Boutique.
The location could hardly be more picturesque, a short walk from the Plaza de Santo Domingo, surrounded the colorful houses and ancient churches of the old town.
