Along with a classic farmhouse and some outlying cottages are a handful of eco-modernist treehouses and some rustic-minimalist mobile huts, and the interiors throughout are stylish and contemporary, with little regard for typical country-house pomp. And along with an afternoon tea accompanied by creative cocktails, and a bar serving Hereford Angus sliders, there’s a highly regarded restaurant, Hook, serving a suitably seafood-focused menu under the direction of chef Martin Burge.
