Its seaside location in the heart of Bénodet on the Breton Riviera has informed the maritime design of Bateau Libre Hotel. The 12 guest rooms feel light and contemporary with a mix of bright white and sea shades of blue and green, complemented by natural wood furnishings. Evenings start early in the laidback Bistrot du Bateau Libre, and the team start shucking oysters and opening bottles of wine at 4pm for an apéritif before dinner based around fresh and local seafood. Outside of the hotel, it’s just a five-minute walk to the beach and river, and activities such as sailing, fishing or paddle boarding.
