Granted, the Gaelic-speaking village of Barna is a small one, and the hotel’s primary selling point is its location on the Wild Atlantic Way, with easy access to the outdoors — the hotel’s name refers to the Twelve Bens, a series of mountain peaks in nearby Connemara National Park, but there’s an urban edge to its modern interiors.
