Named after the Greek words for wind (anemos) and oblivion (lithi), Anemolethe Suites Hotel wants you to forget about it all when you check into its sea-facing guest rooms. The hotel sits perched on the rocky edge of Kimolos, one of the lesser-known Cyclades islands, with a sweeping view of the Aegean and the sound of nothing else but the sea breeze. The traditional whitewashed blocky buildings hide equally bright white minimalist rooms, all of which come with private terraces, and some with hot tubs and plunge pools. The main pool is also set to an idyllic backdrop of endless water, and while there is no restaurant or bar on site, the hotel sits just a 10-minute walk from Kimolos’ capital, Chorio.
