Hommage Villa Collection

Oia, Fira, Firostefani & Megalochori, Santorini, Greece

Contemporary Classic & Quiet
If you’re of a more philosophical bent, you could think of the Hommage Villa Collection as a case that stretches the definition of what a hotel can be. They’re set in three separate towns that span most of the distance of the island’s inner, caldera-facing arc, from Fira all the way up to Oia. And while their geographic spread means each one has its own identity, they all share a certain family resemblance, a luxe and stylishly minimalist take on the classic Santorini white-on-white.

The views of the island’s caldera are uniformly awe-inspiring, no matter the precise angle. They’re available in a range of sizes, and some can be subdivided, from the intimate single Ivory Suite in Oia to the two-bedroom Ioli-Anastasia with private pool at Firostefani. Of course, with a twenty-minute drive between them, a single restaurant is out of the question; they’re strictly self-catering, with no meals provided, though a daily maid service does see to it that things stay tidy. It’s no great privation — in each of the three locations you’ll find local restaurants and cafés that are more than worthy of your patronage.
