Seerose Resort & Spa
Seerosenstrasse 1, Am Hallwilersee, Lenzburg, Meisterschwanden, Switzerland
60 Rooms
Contemporary Classic & Quiet
One MICHELIN Key · A very special stay
It’s clear from a glance at the main building — where a traditional Swiss lakeside hotel building stands attached at the hip to a minimalist, modern structure — that Seerose Resort & Spa is something unusual. Here the rooms come in distinct styles, and while you might imagine that means a choice between classic and contemporary, it’s not quite so simple.
The “Classic” rooms, in fact, are decorated in a contemporary style that Seerose calls “natural chic” — it’s warm and organic, subtle and understated, and in the lake-facing rooms this serves to draw the eye outward. Meanwhile the “Elements” rooms are even more modern, and decorated with graphical nature motifs. And in what used to be the boathouses you’ll find the “Cocon” rooms, decorated in warm wood and textured concrete, with up-close views of the surface of the lake.
They inherit their name from the hotel’s Cocon Thai Spa, a remarkably authentic experience that’ll have you straining to remember you’re still in Switzerland. Meanwhile two of the three restaurants are Thai-accented as well, from the fine-dining Swiss-Thai fusion of Cocon to the more casual Samui-Thai; Swiss-French cuisine is represented by the Restaurant Seerose.
