400 Rooms
Contemporary Classic & Lively
Istanbul’s hotels may play up their ancient resonances and Ottoman heritage, but in Bodrum, the reigning style is something much more modern. And there’s no reason at all for a brand-new purpose-built luxury resort to be anything but totally contemporary. Lujo is a sprawling all-inclusive resort that’s apparently determined to learn all the best lessons from the world of high-design luxury boutique hospitality.
Lujo’s contemporary buildings cover a terraced hillside, all the way down to its beach and private marina. Oh, and its water park — you should know that this place is kid-friendly to the extreme, with a number of programs for children in different age groups.
The rooms are lavish and stylish without being cold — natural stone and other richly textured materials create a soothing atmosphere. Nearly all of them have sea views, and the suites are ideal for families, spanning nearly a hundred square meters.
Nine restaurants span the range from classic Turkish cuisine to Italian, Japanese, Mexican and beyond. And the amenities are truly encyclopedic, including not just the typical spa and beach club but seven pools (not including the kids-only and water-park pools) as well as facilities for everything from yoga and pilates to aqua cycling, beach volleyball, and even laser tag. Needless to say, you won’t lack for diversions here.
