MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
The exclusive Excelsior Hotel Ernst, right opposite the cathedral, is home to the dignified and extremely elegant Hanse Stube. With its dark wood panelling, it is an absolute classic and you might say the "second home" of Cologne society. It serves ambitious classic cuisine with modern influences, as a menu or à la carte. At lunchtime there is an additional small menu. Excellent wines and friendly, trained service accompany your meal, and the terrace is beautiful.
