Among the lanes of the old centre, one has almost the impression of entering the proprietors’ own home, a feeling that persists in the naturalness with which the menu is presented verbally. The protagonist is raw fish – langoustines, tuna, prawns, lobster, sole... – celebrated above all for quality and freshness: the catch is simply cut and dressed at the moment, in front of the guests, with salt, Istrian extra-virgin olive oil and pepper, at times enriched with further pairings. Thus the delicate squid is accompanied by a touch of excellent caviar, while the sea bass is offered with cold cheese polenta and marinated courgettes. After the raw fish journey, a first course may be chosen and, if desired, a dessert to close. An essential venue in Istria for raw fish enthusiasts.
