Concealed within a nondescript brick tower in Chuo City, one of Tokyo’s principal business districts, the DDD is in fact a chic, impeccably modern luxury hotel. “Design, Development, and Destination” are the source of the monogram; guests are invited to reboot in an environment of contemporary minimalism, aided by Parcel, an art gallery featuring exhibitions of contemporary works. Meanwhile, the DDD’s café and bar aim for the same results via the old-fashioned methods of caffeine and alcohol; Nol, the restaurant, offers thoughtful modern French cuisine, a fine choice for a neighborhood that’s something of a cosmopolitan crossroads.
