Each floor is dedicated to a different artistic subject, from Italian design to Sixties pop culture to the masters of fashion — it’s rather more like visiting a highly cultured friend than staying in an ordinary hotel. The comforts are entirely up to date, with details like smart TVs and Nespresso machines. And for such a small hotel it’s equipped with a multitude of common spaces, from the gym and Turkish bath to the private cinema, snooker room, and more.
Most memorable, however, are the hotel’s two restaurants. Parole in Libertà is the bistrot-style eatery, featuring a selection of 47 varieties of gin and more than 200 wines, while the 47 Circus Roof Garden serves painstakingly locally sourced gourmet cuisine with an astonishing view.
