Some French Riviera hotels are so relentlessly tasteful as to almost disappear into the scenery, but the Hôtel Mademoiselle isn’t afraid of a little bit of self-expression. To say each room is different is a substantial understatement; themes range from floral pink to gilded chinoiserie to cartoon clouds and raindrops. The beach is close by, just down the block and around the corner; the hotel’s own little swimming pool, in a courtyard garden lined with loungers, is a tempting alternative. There’s no restaurant, as you’d expect from a hotel of this size, but it’s perfectly located for access to the town.
