MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

Walls covered in photos the chef took with celebrities speak volumes about the popularity of this no-frills shop. Velvety goose meat steeped in its signature spiced marinade, baby oyster porridge, oyster omelette, and pork blood curd with chives keep the regulars coming. Sourced from a local fish farm, the fatty grey mullet is juicy but without a muddy taste. It also serves rare traditional Chiu Chow gems, such as raw marinated red ark clams.
