Set on the sprawling 12th-century complex where Eleanor of Aquitaine once lived (and where Richard the Lionheart is buried), Fontevraud l'Ermitage enables guests to see this historic and architectural treasure from a whole new perspective. Rooms are located in the Saint-Lazare priory, formerly the home of a community of nuns, a short walk away from the main property, giving guests the ability to explore the grounds day or night, out of view of the crowds. Near the cloister, you’ll also find Fontevraud, Le Restaurant, which serves destination-worthy food from chef Thibault Ruggeri.
