Occupying the ground floor of a Grade II listed former banking hall inside the Sofitel hotel, this restaurant aims to provide a more relaxed and keenly priced alternative to the adjoining Wild Honey St James. The team are undoubtedly succeeding in their mission, with lashings of flavour packed into every deceptively simple dish. Sit at the counter or in one of the dramatically red banquettes, which add to the French bistro feel. The menu incorporates a fair few Mediterranean influences alongside the Gallic staples, and the ‘prix fixe’ is an absolute steal.
