Contemporary Classic & Lively
Please note: Collective Vail is a seasonal property and open from June thru September.
It’s close, but not too close, to the famously upscale resort town of Vail proper — Collective Vail is set on a thousand acres of ranchland a few miles to the west, offering access to the town’s attractions when you want it, and perfect seclusion when you don’t. (It’s worth mentioning right at the outset that it’s open from May to October — you wouldn’t want to sleep in a tent during the snowy months.)
Its ten luxury tents feature plush linens, en-suite bathrooms with rain showers, and wood-burning stoves (plus electricity), offering a rare combination of proper high-end comforts and close contact with nature. Three Peaks Lodge serves a “farm-to-ranch” breakfast, and dinner options range from a self-grilled “BBQ experience” to a five-course tasting menu.
Activities include anything you can do in the Rockies outside of the snowy season: horseback rides, mountain biking, fly-fishing, and much more. If you’re looking for an indoor restaurant meal or other signs of civilization, the busy resort town of Vail is about half an hour away, and Beaver Creek roughly half that — from the campsite, however, you’ll feel as secluded as can be.
