Astarte Suites
The village of Akrotiri is a small one, and Astarte’s fifteen suites cling dramatically to the cliffs of the caldera, providing them with jaw-dropping views of the volcano. They’ve all got private terraces, king beds, Hermès bath products, and indoor or outdoor jacuzzis, and some of the larger ones feature their own pools. A central infinity pool serves everyone else, and the restaurant, Alali — Greek for “speechless” — employs an award-winning executive chef.
Meanwhile a semi-secluded location only heightens the tranquility, while the hotel’s car service is on hand to connect you with any part of the island. No need to dramatically reinvent the art of hospitality — around here, a well-done hotel is nothing short of spectacular.
Please note: Astarte Suites is open seasonally from April through October. Children under 13 years of age are not permitted at the hotel.
How to get there:
Santorini (Thira) can be easily reached by plane or ferry. Flight time from Athens is approximately 45 minutes. Ferries from Athens' Pireaus port to Thira take approximately 3 hours.

The pool
Amazing intimate atmosphere. Basically like having your own private resort.
George the owner was very friendly and helpful, spoke perfect English. The hotel location was beautiful - isolated with wonderful views of the Caldera.
Astarte Suites si trova in una location particolare, praticamente arrampicato su una scogliera, da cui si gode una vista impareggiabile sulla Caldera. Le suites sono molto belle, tutte con terrazzine private in cui si può cenare in intimità e fare colazione la mattina e con jacuzzi, interna o all'aperto.Il personale dell' hotel e' sempre sorridente e disponibile per soddisfare tutte le esigenze dei clienti, l'atmosfera e' famigliare e calorosa. C'è copertura wifi sia nelle zone comuni (come la piscina) che nelle suites. Se non fosse stato che non eravamo mai stati a Santorini e volevamo esplorare un po' l'isola, non ci saremmo mossi dall'hotel!!! Davvero bello!!
