MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

After 17 years in their basement restaurant, this experienced husband and wife team have moved to new, purpose-built premises with wonderful waterside views. Sourcing is all-important to the couple and Rainer spends much time on their farm, planting and harvesting produce for use in his kitchen. Cooking has a modern style but is underpinned by the chef's classical training, and the multi-course set menus offer dishes which are original yet understated and provide real depth of flavour - particularly the sauces! Service is personable yet professional and the accompanying wines are expertly paired.
