Modern Design & Quiet
To be fair, they’re not wrong — it is indeed a Monumental Palace. It’s a 1923 classic whose interiors have been given a thorough Art Deco makeover by Parisian hoteliers Maison Albar, a perfect complement to the building’s historic bones. It includes 63 swanky rooms and suites, a lavish Nuxe spa with a hypnotic indoor pool, and a reincarnation of the original Café Monumental, now three separate venues: there’s the Michelin-starred Le Monument, chef Julien Montbabut’s fine-dining concept, as well as Yakuza, a Japanese restaurant by Oliver Da Costa, and the Mezzanine, for breakfast, just above the lobby.
