Little Dix Bay has been a British Virgin Islands institution since before the Rosewood name existed, but under Rosewood’s stewardship it remains one of the finest hotels in the Caribbean. Not only that, but it’s seen significant improvements — none of which, thankfully, have altered the essential character of a place that’s legendary for its atmosphere of thoroughly relaxed luxury. Its rooms, suites, and villas vary in their layouts and equipment, but all are stylish in a low-key way, and all are supremely comfortable. The idyllic island setting is perhaps its greatest strength, but its Sense spa and its wealth of activities aren’t far behind.
