Raffles has come a long way since its 19th-century beginning in colonial Singapore; here the brand occupies the prominent central tower of the ultra-modern mixed-use One Shenzhen Bay complex. Raffles Shenzhen, however, is neither entirely historical nor entirely futuristic, but blends elements of both worlds; rooms and suites contain classic elements, for example, even as they look out over Shenzhen Bay from an astonishing height.
The accommodations are not merely handsome but exquisitely well-equipped; butler service is universal, as are Ferragamo bath products and all the requisite high-tech conveniences. The Raffles spa is complemented by a substantial fitness center, complete with a 25-meter indoor pool. And alongside more meeting and events space than you could reasonably need are a handful of high-end restaurants, offering Cantonese, Japanese, and Western flavors.
