For its Australian debut, 1 Hotel has brought its particular brand of sustainability-driven hospitality to the banks of Melbourne’s Yarra River. The hotel’s eco-friendly design follows the same principles as the group’s other address, think natural creamy shades, reclaimed wood, and a rare sight in hotels, leafy pot plants for a touch of greenery. The four cafés, restaurants, and bars highlight organic, seasonal ingredients sourced from local Victoria producers, as well as Australian wine making with a selection of low intervention bottles. In the spa the hotel continues its partnership with holistic British beauty brand Bamford, and the dedicated wellness area comes fully equipped with a gym, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, and an indoor pool.
