Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay claims its own private island, connected to Manama by a short bridge. The H-shaped tower, designed by the architects behind the Burj Khalifa, holds 273 rooms with views of either the gulf or the city's skyline. Pierre-Yves Rochon handled the interiors, pulling from 1930s ocean liners and Bahraini art. Two Wolfgang Puck restaurants, Cut for prime beef, Re/Asian on the 50th floor for inventive Eastern cooking, lead the dining program. The island includes three outdoor pools, a white-sand beach with complimentary kayaks and paddleboards, and one of the region's largest spas. Minutes from Manama's shopping districts, yet the water changes everything.
