Whether they knew it or not, the Mondrian brand was always destined to turn up in Ibiza, a destination that’s equally dedicated to glamorous nightlife and idyllic beach life. This gleaming terraced structure stands proudly over the bay at Cala Llonga, its exterior an almost impossibly pure shade of white. And inside, the brand’s signature minimalist-chic look softens to off-white and cream, but retains its heavenly, almost unearthly atmosphere.
In the rooms and suites, a warmer, more organic mood predominates; though the overall impression is still unfailingly glam, you’ll find textures that feel hand-crafted, reminiscent of this island’s rustic side. They can get as sunny as you like, and, more importantly, they can also block out the midday Mediterranean sun. The best ones, as you might imagine, are those furnished with views of the beach and the bay.
That beach is just steps away, on the other side of a pair of outdoor oceanfront swimming pools. And the Mondrian comes equipped with several distinct dining and drinking venues, ranging from a beachside bar with a DJ booth to a seafood-focused Mexican restaurant and Sun & Moon, serving light bites and cocktails from noon to midnight.
