The rooms and suites are elegant in a way that certainly won’t put off any traditionally minded travelers; some face the old city’s rooftops, others the river, and all are outfitted with top-shelf modern comforts.
The spa is a particularly lavish one, and the rooftop swimming pool offers an unusual elevated vantage, as does the swanky Jazz Bar; they’re joined by an upscale Mediterranean restaurant and a fine Turkish option. Meanwhile the Garden City setting is close to the Egyptian Museum, and excursions to Cairo’s many legendary sights are a simple matter to arrange.
