Once part of a 17th-century estate owned by Saint Jean’s monks, Château Léognan has passed through the hands of shipowners and Bordeaux wine merchants, each leaving their mark. Today, the 70-acre domaine surrounding a 19th century chateau and its chapel is home to a boutique retreat with suites in both the castle and grounds, treehouses hidden in fairy-tale forests, and a dedicated wine pavilion for tastings and workshops. Here, hospitality follows a relaxed rhythm — breakfast arrives when you wake, and a glass of Bordeaux is never far from hand.
