In an undisturbed corner of Al-Ula Old Town, Dar Tantora occupies a maze of restored mud-brick houses, where candlelit interiors, hand-carved doors, and reed-covered ceilings offer a glimpse of life before electricity. There is no air-conditioning or background music, just the rustle of date palms, the scent of incense, and the flicker of over 1,800 lanterns lit nightly by hand. With just 30 rooms and a rooftop pool, the hotel favors atmosphere over ornament. It does not feel like stepping back in time, it feels like time never left.
