The long-standing, sustainably minded Kai is really two places in one. At lunch, they take walk-ins only and serve one course followed by homemade cakes and pastries (they also have their own bakery). Things ramp up a gear at dinner, with a 3 course à la carte heavily guided by the seasons and the local area. Dishes are often understated in appearance, but just a handful of ingredients are needed for plentiful flavour; keep an eye out for the specials, like a super 'conference pear tarte Tatin'. Excellent wine pairing suggestions will enhance your visit.

"We use local, organic produce and our menus are short and adaptable. 75% of our waste is recycled, with the remaining 25% used to produce energy. We also work closely with Food Cloud - a zero waste community."
