A luxurious 18C property in 246 acres of grounds plays host to this elegant restaurant with a golden, autumnal theme. Service might be structured but the atmosphere is relaxed; for a private party, book the conservatory overlooking the lovely gardens. Before moving to Yorkshire, chef Adam Smith spent several years at The Ritz, which explains his classical cooking and love of the countryside. Reflecting this, his technically skilled, beautifully presented dishes pay the utmost respect to natural British ingredients, while also displaying real depth and finesse.
