The Most Affordable Key Hotels for a Winter Escape in the States

Our editorial team selects the most affordable Key hotels for an easy escape this winter in the United States.

The MICHELIN Key does for hotels what the MICHELIN Star does for restaurants — it denotes the best of the best. On September 12, 2024, the newest Key hotels were revealed in the United States. And while some Key hotels sport a rate that can rise into the thousands of dollars per night, other times, they’re not only affordable: they're incredible deals on hotels of well-vetted, undeniable quality. Below, our editorial team has selected several wallet-friendly One MICHELIN Key hotels within the United States.

Our goal here was to spotlight warm weather destinations with great rates over the winter months (December, January, and February). And as of writing — no hotel below (spanning several locations in California, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee) offers a nightly price over $300. Many offer stays well below that threshold.

Click on each hotel to see exact rates, and head here to search our entire selection.

The Aster
The Aster

The Aster

Los Angeles, California

With some of the finest suites in town, The Aster boasts rooms that are a bit bohemian, a bit retro, more than a bit warm and welcoming, understated in their luxury and, above all, memorable.

The hotel features a wellness program that goes above and beyond typical hotel fare, encompassing yoga and pilates as well as weights and cardio equipment. And the hotel’s liveliest social space is its Lemon Grove restaurant and bar, where members, guests, and locals dine and drink in the shade of The Aster’s lemon trees.

Esmé Miami Beach
Esmé Miami Beach

Esmé Miami Beach

Miami Beach, Florida

This Spanish-Mediterranean gem is decorated with bohemian-luxe interiors that establish a warm and slightly retro mood. There’s just a touch of a French accent in the rooms and suites, decorated as they are in saturated colors and careful compositions — if Paris were set on the Mediterranean, it might look a bit like this.

The hotel’s public spaces are woven together, including Sushi Bar, an Omakase speakeasy, Bamboo Room, a tiki bar from Trader Vic’s, Tropezón, a gin-and-tapas concept, and The Roof, an open-air lounge whose cabanas encircle a stylish little pool.

Hotel Clermont

Atlanta, Georgia

Built in 1924, Hotel Clermont is iconic in the city of Atlanta. Previously known mostly for the landmark sign on its rooftop radio tower, and the Clermont Lounge, a legendary slice of nightlife in the basement, the hotel itself has become a major highlight on its own, with a thoroughouly renovated modern interior that still retains its character. For food, Tiny Lou’s, the French-Southern brasserie, is a MICHELIN Guide restaurant, and the Roof Top offers far-ranging views and a fun crowd of locals and guests.
