Miami has never been hotter. Just take a look at its skyline, where construction cranes signal a massive boom. It's a city defined by its electric energy, beautiful beaches, culture, and of course, fantastic food (check out our MICHELIN Guide restaurants here). Miami has plenty of personality—and hotels—so how do you pick one?
That's where we come in. We've curated a selection of nearly 50 hotels in Magic City, with 10 hotels earning One or Two MICHELIN Keys. New to the Guide as of 2024, the Key denotes the most outstanding hotels in our selection. Put simply: the Key is the hotel version of the MICHELIN Star.
Take a look and see which one fits your mood best.

The Two Key Hotels
Our Inspectors chose four hotels in Miami for the Two Key distinction. In Coconut Grove, Mayfair House Hotel & Garden beckons guests to pull back its carved wooden door to a breath of fresh air—quite literally, since the lobby's centerpiece is a massive indoor garden.Inspectors found guests chatting with friends and checking in on their laptops in the indoor garden. And, while it's supremely calm inside, it's in the heart of Coconut Grove, so shopping and dining are just steps away.
In Surfside, the Two MICHELIN Key Four Seasons at The Surf Club artfully blends old and new, sharing the heritage of the original Jazz Age-era building together with a modern tower. It has all of the bells and whistles expected of a Four Seasons, but this one takes it up a notch by delivering the ultimate MICHELIN package with One MICHELIN Star The Surf Club Restaurant, from lauded chef Thomas Keller.
Naturally, Miami Beach stands out from the pack as home to not one, but two of the Two MICHELIN Key hotels: Faena Hotel Miami Beach and The Setai Miami Beach. They may have earned the same distinction, but these two are wildly different. The Setai is classically Asian, cornering the market on zen, while Faena features a kaleidoscope of color and energy. It's also home to two restaurants featured in The MICHELIN Guide: Pao by Paul Qui and Los Fuegos by Francis Mallman.

The One Key Hotels
Six hotels have been awarded One Key in Miami. Like the Two Keys, they’re clustered mostly around the beach, with four Key hotels either on, or steps from, the sand. That doesn't mean it's all about SoBe, though. Case in point? Mr. C Miami - Coconut Grove. It's in the heart of the charming, bustling downtown, but step inside and you'll immediately feel like you're boarding a luxurious ocean liner.Outside of the Grove, the sun definitely shines brighter at the beach. Hotel Greystone pulls in a stylish crowd of grown-ups who come to Miami for its energy and excitement but prefer to enjoy it without the thumping beats of a DJ at breakfast. And then there's Esmé Miami Beach, a wonderful, surprising world unto itself. See that door at the back of the lobby? It looks like any other door but push past and you'll be transported to a Spanish village, complete with vine-covered whitewashed walls. It's a collection of buildings with a clear European bent yet it's also classically Miami. Case in point? Al Capone ran his gambling business out of Casa Matanza, and in true gangster style, engaged in a shoot-out with rivals here.
