This is, as the name suggests, an utterly modern boutique hotel of the high-design variety; its 38 rooms and suites are decked out in handsome grays and neutrals, and the rooftop champagne bar is a delight. Its most unique attribute, however, is where the past intrudes: the hotel’s restaurant, A Bistro, is built on a glass floor suspended above a Roman-era archaeological site.
