Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center
But couldn’t all this comfort come off a trifle dull? Don’t despair. As long as you like to eat, you won’t be bored. The Four Seasons, grand as the lobby and the rooms upstairs may be, is a hotel for foodies. Everyone agrees that the Fountain restaurant is one of the best in Philly, and quite possibly one of the best in the country. Moreover, the temperament of the kitchen is world-renowned. People are always puzzled—there’s no screaming, no swearing, no attitude, which is perhaps why the chef is confident enough to invite guests twice a month to eat a meal in-kitchen.
It says something that a good number of the diners are locals. Arguably, it’s the Four Seasons’ biggest draw. It also might be why the service is so impeccable—they’re well fed. If you don’t want to stay here, at least drop by the restaurant. Having said that, eating a breakfast in bed of poached eggs on wild mushrooms, roast tomatoes, and hollandaise might be too tempting to pass up.
