Some of the other Gulf cities may get more attention, but the Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait at Burj Alshaya is a reminder that things are happening in Kuwait City as well. In contrast to, say, Dubai, it’s an impressively tasteful hotel — unmistakably luxe, of course, but thanks to collaborators like hospitality-design experts Yabu Pushelberg, it’s both eye-catchingly contemporary and thoughtfully tailored to its setting. Expect the full complement of top-end luxury-hotel comforts and services; highlights include an elaborate (and gorgeous) spa complex and a handful of restaurants serving everything from local classics to teppanyaki and wood-fired pizza.
