Hotel H15 Francuski has been part of Kraków’s cultural fabric since 1912, the city’s first purpose-built hotel, and once its most modern. It hosted the founding of the Polish Olympic Committee, ferried guests in its own automobile, and drew Kraków’s creative and political elite. Today, its original neoclassical details remain: velvet armchairs, ornate brass, carved wood, and museum-worthy wallpaper, all refreshed with a light contemporary hand. Opposite the Czartoryski Museum and steps from the Barbican, it is a landmark of Kraków’s past, and still one of its most distinctive stays.
