Aman has roots in Thailand: the company’s very first property was a resort on Phuket. Now, more than three decades later, the brand is opening its first hotel in Bangkok. Aman Nai Lert is the latest addition to Aman’s expanding collection of urban hotels, and like its counterparts in Tokyo and Venice, it’s every bit as lavish as the ultra-luxurious resorts that first put the brand on the map.
The location, for starters, is unbeatable: Aman Nai Lert rises up 36 stories over Nai Lert Park, one of the largest green spaces in the city’s busy downtown. The futuristic building features open-air terraces, a gorgeous infinity pool, and airy rooms with wraparound floor-to-ceiling windows revealing views of tropical gardens and the city skyline.
Famed architect and designer Jean-Michel Gathy, the creative mind behind Aman New York and the Four Seasons Bangkok, oversaw the hotel’s designs, blending elements of traditional Thai style with Aman’s dramatic but minimalist aesthetic. From the sleek, spacious suites and state-of-the-art spa to a sultry jazz bar and several high-end restaurants, there’s plenty here to tempt resort-goers to spend time in the big city.
