Sublime Lisboa

Set in a century-old townhouse in Amoreiras, an upscale city-center district that’s slightly off the tourist trail, Sublime Lisboa is a beautiful little gem: a 15-room luxury boutique hotel that’s both stylish enough and luxurious enough to be worthy of its lofty name. The house’s well-preserved period architecture provides much of Sublime Lisboa’s visual character, though the hotel’s local designers haven’t been shy about complementing its antique features with bold modern colors and an eclectic variety of eye-catching furnishings and artworks.

A few of the rooms are rather on the smallish side, owing to the demands of the historic floor plan, but that’s not an unusual thing in a hotel like this; nevertheless, even the smallest ones are more than comfortable enough, and the suites are genuinely spacious, reaching 56 square meters at their maximum. It’s an impressive enough hotel when you confine your attention to the accommodations, and ordinarily a hotel of this size in a European capital would forego a restaurant; Sublime Lisboa, however, goes the extra mile with Davvero, a chic Italian restaurant by chef Isaac Kumi, a veteran of the worldwide Cipriani empire.
