Palazzo Venart Luxury Hotel is atypical in a few ways, however — it’s uncommonly secluded and quiet, for one thing, though it’s mere yards from the Grand Canal. The rooms are precisely as ornate and opulent as you’d want a 16th-century palazzo to be; you don’t need a view of the canals to know without a doubt you’re in Venice. And the cuisine is also far beyond typical: GLAM, under the direction of chefs Enrico Bartolini and Donato Ascani, has earned a pair of Michelin stars.
