It’s harder than you might think to fully immerse yourself in nature anywhere near the megalopolis that is the San Francisco Bay Area, and those places where you can, like Marin County, do their best to keep the impact of tourism to a minimum. The hotel has retained its distinctive turn-of-the-century architecture, but it’s been decorated with a contemporary eye, bringing a bit of boutique style to a setting that’s as pastoral as it gets.
