Once a private residence, the grand 19th-century castle has been transformed into an intimate 14-room hotel with facilities that encourage guests to slow down and switch off.

The heated outdoor pool comes with a view of Île Saint-Aubin on the nearby Mayenne river, and the hotel is home to its own botanical garden, vegetable garden, and a wooded park for nature walks. You might even spot sheep roaming.
