For an authentic taste of Mexico in Düsseldorf, head to Celia in the bustling Bilker Kirche area. Rene Brauchle, of Mexican-German heritage and born in Venezuela, and Florentina Assis, a native Chilean, have been sharing their passion for Latin American cuisine here since summer 2024. The joy and enthusiasm of your cordial hosts is palpable, and they clearly love what they do: he is in charge of the kitchen, and she presides front-of-house. Once you have tried his mouthwatering dishes such as the taco pescado, the ceviche or the cochinita, you'll be hooked and eager to return. Fun fact: this friendly, modern restaurant is named after Rene's grandmother, who inspired his love of cooking.
