With its pared-back Far Eastern decor and an eight-course traditional Japanese omakase menu served to all diners at the same time, this restaurant brings countertop dining and a slice of Japan to the exclusive Mandarin Oriental. From your comfortable seat at the counter, you can watch, for example, various nigiri being prepared before your very eyes – the chef will gladly expound on his work and philosophy.
