Set high up in the Dolomites, the adults-only Alpine Boutique Villa Gabriela is a year-round mountain retreat where you can do as much, or as little, as you like. Ten cozy rooms are dressed in a contemporary Alpine style with wood paneling and soft textiles, and some with added extras such as balconies for summer, and Finnish saunas for warming up in winter. As the view changes outside from thick snow to vibrant green—the hotel sits in the heart of Alpe di Siusi, the largest high alpine pasture in Europe—so do the activities, from skiing and romantic horse drawn sleigh rides to cycling, climbing and even golfing. After a day out on the slopes, there’s a restaurant and well-stocked wine cellar to come back to, and a spa with a sauna, steam room, and an outdoor Jacuzzi with a view of the Sciliar mountains.
