The Negev Desert of southern Israel is the setting for Six Senses Shaharut, whose 60 suites and villas are constructed from rough and rustic stone, timber, and plaster, a style that belies the polished comforts and professional hospitality that lie within. The most basic suites are large and extravagant — though always tasteful — while the villas double in size, and the three-bedroom Private Reserve is the stuff of daydreams. As always, there’s an impressive spa and wellness program, and the restaurants serve healthful and refined fare made from local, organic ingredients, drawing from the culinary traditions of the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
