But the sun-dappled spread of farm-fresh eggs and local cheeses is just one of the many things this design-forward boutique hotel has going for it.
Set amid fragrant gardens overlooking the sea, it’s a modern escape with minimalist interiors outfitted in materials sourced around the Cyclades: marble from Naxos, stone from Santorini, silk and linen produced on other islands nearby. Rooms are sleek and understated with custom lighting and bespoke furnishings, and each opens onto a private garden with views of the Aegean in the distance. A few have their own pools, and a larger saltwater pool is available to all, as are bicycles for pedaling into the quaint village of Apollonia.
