The Alila hotels may have originated on the other side of the Pacific, but their modernist-inspired, confidently luxe style looks just as appealing on the California coast. Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas stands on a bluff overlooking the beach, between San Diego and Orange County, and while not all of its rooms and suites face directly out to sea, they’re all impressive in their own right, both for their lavish luxuries and their calming minimalist style.
