Set though it may be in the historic heart of Colmar, a stone’s throw from the winding streets of its charming old town, L’Esquisse Hôtel & Spa Colmar - MGallery is as contemporary as they come. It’s surrounded not by city rooftops but by the verdant Champ de Mars park, and its 62 rooms and suites pay aesthetic tribute to 20th-century modernism. There’s a spa by Clarins, which includes a heated indoor pool as well as a jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room, and the restaurant, JY’s, is the proud recipient of not one but two Michelin stars.
