Atlanta’s Buckhead district has long been ritzy, but hip? Maybe so, with the advent of the Burgess Hotel, a high-end boutique alternative to all the nearby classic luxury chains. This is a true one-off, a labor of love by its owners, who sought in its décor and atmosphere to pay tribute to their native Hong Kong. Rooms and suites are stylish and tasteful, the restaurant specializes in wood-fired Mediterranean fare, and Mr. B, the cocktail bar, is a true contemporary classic, a modern homage to a bygone era of elegant nightlife.
