While the location isn’t everything at Hotel V Nesplein, it is one of the hotel’s great strengths. Housed in a renovated office building found in the heart of Amsterdam’s city center and theater district, this funky boutique hotel lies within walking distance of most of the major attractions. The hotel’s restaurant and bar, the Lobby, is a popular local hangout in itself — decorated with velvet stage curtains, stage lights, and vintage black and white show posters, the space pays tribute to the neighborhood’s theatrical background. Upstairs, the loft-style rooms are designed in a quirky mid-century-meets-industrial style that features vintage furniture, luxurious dark wood floors, faded oriental rugs, and gold wallpaper.
